Traveller's Room (I)

Travellers go around the world like snails, they bring their own houses and belongings over the shoulders. Most travellers are budget backpackers. Backpackers have to look carefully about their expenses. Travelling for months (even years) is not like when you are on holyday. When leaving home for just few weeks you don't care so much about money, but you do when travelling on your own is the way of life you've choosen. When in Surin City I usually check in at Sang Thong Hotel. Old hotel but great location. It's very convenient and central (close to both train station and bus terminal) but it lacks maintenance. That's the common problem you find wherever when travelling in non well developed Asian countries. That time I was at room 208, at the backside of the hotel. Better backside rooms than the ones facing the busy street. To sleep in front rooms you need good ear plugs unless you're fan of traffic noise. /-----/ Els viatgers voltem pel món amb la casa a sobre, com els cargols. La majoria de viatgers tenim un pressupost limitat. Hem de vetllar constantment amb les despeses. Viatjar durant mesos (fins i tot anys) no és el mateix que anar de vacances unes poques setmanes. D'aquí que entri dins la pràctica de la majoria de viatgers hostatjar-se en hotels barats, com el que veieu al vídeo. Sempre que arribo a Surin m'hostatjo en aquest hotel. És vell i tronat, prou que es veu. Algunes de les habitacions estan bastant malmeses. Però és econòmic i té una localització òptima ...
